In particular, you’ll learn about the various steps involved in making a prior declaration of personal data processing to ARTCI, the Ivorian regulator.

You must declare your personal data processing operations to ARTCI before implementing them. Why make this declaration to ARTCI in Côte d’ Ivoire? In order to be able to justify the purpose of the processing, the personal data collected and processed, the categories of data subjects and, where applicable, identify data transfers outside Côte d’Ivoire.

In practice, you will perform, as appropriate :

• a request for authorization from ARTCI, if the processing involves sensitive data;
• or a prior declaration in other cases.

What is sensitive data? This includes information on racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data or data relating to health.
